For editing content:

  • Insert
  • Wysiwyg
  • CKEditor
  • OpenWysiwyg

To handle images:

  • Image Resize Filter
  • IMCE
  • Lightbox2 (currently disabled)

For improved menus:

  • Nice Menus

Experimented with various configuration settings - current best appears to be

  • Use "filtered HTML"
  • add <br> and <p> to allowed formats therein
  • images hidden in structure/content/display
